What went wrong before us
By the time this client found us, their previous accountant “had [them] in hot water”. That kind of situation is stressful. It also leaves people wary of accountants in general, which is fair.
They needed the problem fixed, of course. Just as important, they needed someone who would actually tell them what was going on at each step.
What we did
First, we went through the previous accountant’s work to find out exactly what had gone wrong.
Then Wajahat explained it, in detail, and kept explaining as we went. The client always understood what the problem was and how we were fixing it.
We took over the files and dealt with everything that was outstanding. Once the urgent part was behind us, we kept sending the client regular updates on their files. Documents and questions go through our client portal, so both sides can see where things stand.

The client described us as “nothing short of exceptional” after the trouble with their previous accountant. We still work together, and they still get regular updates on their files.
