T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm working with small businesses and self-employed people all over Alberta: bookkeeping, T2 and AT1 corporate tax, personal tax, GST, payroll and virtual CFO work, on flat fees.
See our flat-rate pricing or call (866) 254-5368.

T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm, and we work with small businesses and self-employed people all over Alberta. We handle bookkeeping, corporate tax (both the federal T2 and the Alberta AT1), personal tax, GST, payroll and virtual CFO work. Every job gets a flat fee before we start, and sorting out books and returns that have fallen years behind is one of the things we do best.
We’re based in Ontario and work with Alberta clients entirely online, by phone, video, text or email. Alberta is a good fit for remote work, since there’s no provincial sales tax and no payroll tax to juggle. Most of the work comes down to clean books, the right GST setup and getting both corporate returns in on time, and none of that needs an in-person meeting.
These are starting prices and exclude GST. You’ll get the exact figure in writing after a free call.
About our fees: Alberta clients pay 5% GST on top of our fees, and there’s no provincial sales tax. If you’re GST-registered, you can usually claim it back as an input tax credit.
Incorporation: we only offer incorporation to Ontario businesses. If you’re setting up an Alberta corporation, we can take over once it’s registered and handle your books, payroll accounts, GST, and your T2 and AT1 every year.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. I set up T-Ledgers for owners who want a straight answer and a fixed price, whether the books are spotless or nobody has opened them since the business started.
I review the work before anything goes to the CRA. Nothing is filed without my sign-off.
You get the price before we start. If the scope changes, we agree the new price with you first.
Tell us if a CRA deadline is close and we will put it first.
QuickBooks Online or Xero for the books and Dext for receipts. We take over your file or set one up.
We meet remotely with clients anywhere in Alberta. If you are visiting Ontario, you can book a meeting at our Mississauga office.
Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, which is 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mountain time.
We also match prices: send a comparable written quote from another Canadian CPA or bookkeeping firm for the same work and we will match it. A 24/7 receptionist answers the phone, so a real person picks up.

We work remotely with businesses and self-employed people across Alberta, including:
We also work with clients in Airdrie, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Okotoks and rural Alberta. All of it is done online, so distance isn’t an issue.
If you are a few years behind, you are not unusual, and it is fixable. We start with your bank and credit card statements, rebuild the oldest year first, then file what is outstanding in the right order: GST returns, AT1s, T2s and personal returns. If the CRA has sent letters or estimated assessments, we deal with them as part of the job. Penalties and interest keep growing until you file, so waiting rarely helps.
Catch-up work starts from $1,800 per year + HST/GST. See catch-up bookkeeping, back tax filing and a real file in our catch-up case study.
If you have unfiled returns or income you never reported, the CRA’s Voluntary Disclosures Program (VDP) lets you correct it before the CRA contacts you, with relief on penalties and part of the interest. Many Alberta owners come to us only after a CRA letter arrives; coming forward first usually gets a better result.
We rebuild the missing years, prepare the corrected T1, T2 and GST/HST returns, and file them with Form RC199 so the CRA reviews everything together. Pricing depends on how many years are involved and is part of our catch-up bookkeeping quote, which starts from $1,800 per year + HST/GST. The CRA decides each application case by case, so relief is never guaranteed.
Alberta corporate tax (the AT1) is administered by Alberta Tax and Revenue Administration, not the CRA, so Alberta corporate tax is dealt with separately with the province.
Law: Income Tax Act s.150(1) (filing deadlines); Income Tax Act s.162(1) (late-filing penalty); Income Tax Act s.161(1) (interest on unpaid tax); Income Tax Act s.152(7) (assessment not dependent on return); Excise Tax Act s.238(1) (GST/HST returns).

“T-Ledgers has been nothing short of exceptional after my previous accountant had me in hot water. Wajahat explained things in detail throughout the whole process and still continues to keep me updated on my files regularly. I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Yes. Your T2 and T1 go to the CRA, and your corporation’s AT1 goes to Alberta TRA. We prepare and file all of them. Working from a different province makes no difference to the work.
Our flat fees are the same everywhere: bookkeeping from $350 a month (quarterly; monthly from $500), catch-up work from $1,800 per year, personal returns from $110 ($49 for a simple slips-only return), corporate returns from $800, nil returns from $249 and Virtual CFO from $2,500 a month. Payroll is quoted after a short call. Alberta clients pay 5% GST on top.
Yes to the first. Send a comparable written quote from another Canadian CPA or bookkeeping firm for the same work and we’ll match it. We reply within one business day, and a 24/7 receptionist answers the phone, so a real person picks up.
Yes. Alberta clients pay 5% GST on top of our fees. Alberta has no provincial sales tax. If your business is registered for GST/HST, you can usually claim it back as an input tax credit.
Yes. We prepare SR&ED claims end to end: the eligibility review, project write-ups, the T661 claim form and the T2 filing, plus support if the CRA reviews the claim. Pricing depends on the claim and is quoted after a free consultation.
Most Alberta corporations do. Alberta collects its own corporate tax, so the AT1 is filed with Alberta TRA on top of the federal T2, due six months after year-end. Small CCPCs with no taxable income may be exempt. We do both together so the numbers match and the deadlines line up.
No. Alberta has no provincial sales tax, so you only charge GST, and only once you’re registered. If you sell to customers in other provinces, you may have to charge their HST rate instead. We’ll check how you’re set up.
We only offer incorporation in Ontario. If you’re setting up an Alberta corporation, we can take over once it’s registered and handle your books, payroll accounts, GST, and your T2 and AT1 every year.
Yes, it is our speciality. We rebuild the books from bank statements, file the overdue sales tax returns and T2s in the right order (personal T1 returns are quoted separately), and deal with any CRA letters. Catch-up work starts from $1,800 per year + HST/GST.
Yes. We rebuild the missing years, prepare the corrected returns and file them with Form RC199. If no one at the CRA has contacted you about the issue, an application received on or after October 1, 2025 normally gets 100% penalty relief and 75% interest relief. The VDP application is quoted separately after a free review. Any catch-up bookkeeping starts from $1,800 per year + HST/GST. The CRA decides each case, so relief is not guaranteed.
Not always. If the letter names a specific error or sets a deadline, your application is treated as prompted and normally gets up to 100% penalty relief and 25% interest relief. Once an audit or investigation has started on that issue, the VDP is closed to you, so it is worth acting quickly.
