I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Many Vaughan owners run more than one corporation: a construction or distribution company, a holding company, maybe a company that owns the building. Once corporations are associated, they share one $500,000 small business limit, and passive investment income in one of them can reduce it for all of them. On a busy Vaughan group, that is where real tax is won or lost, long before anyone looks at an individual line on the return.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We file for corporations in Woodbridge, Concord, Maple, Kleinburg and Thornhill by phone, video and email, and our closest office is in Etobicoke at 102-89 Skyway Ave.
Vaughan corporations we file for most often: builders, renovators, pavers and landscapers, distributors and manufacturers, banquet halls and restaurants, and holding and real estate companies.

| Local rule | How it shows up on your T2 | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| City of Vaughan contractor licences | By-law 122-2022 requires renovators, fence installers, pavers, landscapers, pool installers and snowplow contractors to be licensed. Fees are deducted in the year paid. | Vaughan contractor licensing |
| York Region Public Health | Inspection-driven renovations go on Schedule 8 as capital. | York Region food premises operators |
| Ontario land transfer tax | Added to the cost of Vaughan property, driving CCA and the later gain. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Vaughan paving company is owned by a holding company that also owns the yard through a third corporation. On the T2s we confirm the three corporations are associated, allocate the shared small business limit where it saves the most, check the holding company’s passive income against the grind, and make sure rent between the companies is recorded on both sides. Holdbacks receivable at year-end are reviewed, and the T5018 return for subcontractors is filed separately.
What’s different for Vaughan corporations. Many Vaughan construction and distribution companies are owned through a holding company, often with more than one operating company in the family. On the T2 we check whether the companies are associated, which means they share one $500,000 small business limit, and allocate it between them. We also deal with holdbacks and T5018 filings. Free local advice is available from the Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre.
Distribution companies in Concord also need a year-end inventory count, because closing inventory sets cost of goods sold. We reconcile it with your inventory system before filing and check supplier rebates are included in income.
Scope, deadlines and the 11.2% small business rate are on our main corporate tax (T2) page.
Law: Income Tax Act s.150(1) (filing returns); Income Tax Act s.157(1) (payment by corporation); Income Tax Act s.125(1) (small business deduction); Income Tax Act s.162(1) and (7.2) (late filing and e-filing penalties); Ontario corporate income tax rates.
