I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

Document sharing is simple, questions get answered quickly, and you can always see where things stand. It's a modern way of handling accounting and I appreciated that.Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Vaughan has one of the busiest industrial areas in the GTA. Around Highway 400, Highway 7 and the 407 there are distributors, manufacturers, builders, renovators and trades, plus restaurants, banquet halls and car dealers, and a growing office cluster at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. A Vaughan backlog tends to be a busy operating company: lots of transactions, subcontractors, equipment loans and a shareholder loan account nobody has looked at in years.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with Vaughan clients in Woodbridge, Concord, Maple, Kleinburg and Thornhill by phone, video and email, and our closest office is in Etobicoke at 102-89 Skyway Ave.
Vaughan backlogs we see often: renovation, paving and landscaping contractors with holdbacks and subcontractors, distributors with inventory and foreign suppliers, banquet halls and restaurants with large cash and card volumes, and builders who need T5018 slips filed for past years.

| Local rule | What it means for a catch-up | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| City of Vaughan contractor licences | By-law 122-2022 requires renovators, fence installers, pavers, landscapers, pool installers and snowplow contractors to hold a City licence. Licence fees and related costs from the missing years are deductible, and we record them in the rebuild. | Vaughan contractor licensing |
| Other City of Vaughan business licences | Restaurants, banquet halls, auto service and repair garages, personal services, home-based businesses and short-term rentals are among the categories the City licenses. We check your category when we scope the catch-up. | Vaughan business licensing and permits |
| York Region Public Health | Food premises notify York Region before opening; missing start-up costs are recovered. | York Region food premises operators |
| No municipal land transfer tax | Ontario land transfer tax only; we post it to the property’s cost, not expenses. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Vaughan paving company paid subcontractors by e-transfer for two seasons and kept no records beyond the bank. We rebuild each job’s revenue and costs, identify every subcontractor payment, and prepare the overdue T5018 information returns that construction businesses must file. The equipment loan is split into principal and interest, the shareholder loan is reconciled so personal spending isn’t left as a taxable benefit, and the overdue GST/HST returns are filed with the catch-up.
Where Vaughan files usually fall behind. Construction and distribution companies around the Highway 400 and 407 corridor often fall behind during a busy building season. The tricky parts are holdbacks (money earned but not yet paid), progress billings, subcontractor payments that need T5018 reporting, and equipment bought on financing. We rebuild each job’s billings against the contract, record holdbacks receivable and payable, and list the subcontractor totals so missed T5018 slips can be filed. The city’s Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre at City Hall on Major Mackenzie Drive offers free advice on licensing and permits if your business is changing.
Distribution and warehouse businesses in Concord and the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre area bring a second kind of backlog: inventory never counted, customer credits never recorded, and supplier rebates sitting in the bank. We rebuild inventory from purchase and sales records, post rebates and credits, and give you a year-end inventory figure your T2 can rely on.
Each step is explained on our main catch-up bookkeeping page; corporate catch-up is priced per year with the T2 included, and personal T1 returns are quoted separately. The CRA has no walk-in counters (see CRA office locations), so we deal with it for you as your representative.
Law: Income Tax Act s.230(1) and (4) (records and books, six-year retention); Income Tax Act s.150(1) (filing returns); Income Tax Act s.162(1) (failure to file penalty); Income Tax Act s.220(3.1) (waiver of penalty or interest); Excise Tax Act s.238(1) (GST/HST returns); Excise Tax Act s.225(4) (time limit for input tax credits).
