I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

Document sharing is simple, questions get answered quickly, and you can always see where things stand. It's a modern way of handling accounting and I appreciated that.Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. A Vaughan operating company around Highway 7 or the 400 usually has more moving parts than its owner has time for: several bank and card accounts, equipment loans, subcontractors, holdbacks, and customers who pay late. Good bookkeeping for that kind of business means knowing which jobs make money, which subcontractors need a T5018 slip, and how much HST is really owing before the return is due.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We keep books for clients in Woodbridge, Concord, Maple, Kleinburg and Thornhill by phone, video and email, and our closest office is in Etobicoke at 102-89 Skyway Ave.
What we set up for Vaughan clients most often: job costing and holdback tracking for builders, renovators, pavers and landscapers; subcontractor records that feed the annual T5018 return; inventory and supplier terms for distributors; and deposit and event tracking for banquet halls and restaurants.

| Local rule | How we handle it in your monthly books | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| City of Vaughan contractor licences | Under By-law 122-2022, renovators, fence installers, pavers, landscapers, pool installers and snowplow contractors need a City licence. We record the renewal fee each year and keep it with your job overhead. | Vaughan contractor licensing |
| Other City of Vaughan licences | Restaurants, banquet halls, auto service and repair garages, personal services, home-based businesses and short-term rentals are among the licensed categories. We note your category and its renewal at onboarding. | Vaughan business licensing and permits |
| York Region Public Health | Food premises notify York Region before opening; fit-out costs go to capital assets. | York Region food premises operators |
| Ontario land transfer tax only | No Vaughan municipal tax; Ontario’s is capitalised in the closing month. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Vaughan renovation company on our Scale plan runs eight to ten jobs at a time. Every invoice and supplier bill is tagged to a job, holdbacks are tracked as receivables until released, subcontractor payments are recorded with the details the T5018 return needs, and the equipment loan is split each month. The monthly report shows profit by job, so the owner can see which kinds of work to quote more of.
For Vaughan contractors we track holdbacks, progress billings and subcontractor totals for the T5018 every month. The Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre at City Hall offers free advice on licensing and permits.
Distributors in Concord and around the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre get inventory tracked against purchases and sales, supplier rebates posted when earned, and customer credits matched to invoices, so the month-end margin is real.

Law: Income Tax Act s.230(1) and (4) (records and books, six-year retention); Excise Tax Act s.286(1) (GST/HST books and records); Excise Tax Act s.169(4) (ITC documentation); Excise Tax Act s.148(1) (small supplier threshold).
