I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Richmond Hill has a lot of owners who are thinking about incorporating rather than starting from scratch: health professionals finishing residency or buying into a practice, engineers and IT consultants leaving employment for contract work, and families who want a holding company. The right answer depends on profit, who the clients are and what the regulatory college requires.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with Richmond Hill clients by phone, video and email. If you’d rather meet in person, our Mississauga office at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204 is available by appointment.

| Local rule or situation | What it means for a new corporation | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Richmond Hill Small Business Enterprise Centre | Free consultations on business plans and funding programs before you incorporate. We handle the incorporation, tax accounts and books. | Richmond Hill SBEC |
| Professional corporations | Physicians, dentists and other regulated professionals incorporate under special rules and need a certificate of authorization from their college. We file the articles and coordinate with the college’s process. | Ontario Business Corporations Act |
| City of Richmond Hill business licences | If your business type is on the City’s licensing list, ask whether the licence needs to be issued to the new corporation. | Richmond Hill business licences |
Law: Ontario Business Corporations Act s.3.1, s.3.2 (professional corporations); Income Tax Act s.125(7) (personal services business); Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing).
IT and engineering consultants are the group most at risk of incorporating the wrong way. If you would be an employee of your client but for the corporation, the CRA can treat it as a personal services business, which loses the small business deduction and most expenses. We look at your contracts and how you work before you incorporate.
For health professionals, the corporation’s articles have to meet the college’s requirements before the certificate is issued, and the share structure decides who can own shares. We file the articles, set up the business number and payroll account and plan the first year’s salary and dividends.
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Richmond Hill software consultant has one main client in Toronto, works on the client’s systems and is paid by the hour. Before incorporating, we review the contract against the personal services business tests and suggest taking on at least one more client. Once the work looks like a business, we incorporate an Ontario corporation and open its tax accounts.
Both are taxed the same, and we usually recommend Ontario for a Richmond Hill business operating mainly in Ontario. Full comparison: Ontario vs federal.
Law: Ontario Business Corporations Act s.4 (articles of incorporation); Canada Business Corporations Act s.105(3) (resident Canadian directors); Corporations Information Act s.3.1 (annual return); Income Tax Act s.85(1) (rollover of assets to a corporation).

Yes, as a professional corporation. The college issues a certificate of authorization once the articles meet its rules. Professional corporations are quoted separately.
Maybe not yet. If the corporation would be a personal services business, it loses most tax benefits. We check your contract and working arrangements first.
