I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Many Richmond Hill T2s belong to professional corporations: physicians, dentists, optometrists and engineers who incorporated to keep part of their income in the company. Alongside them are software and engineering firms near Highway 404, family holding companies and restaurants. For each, the key T2 questions are how profit is paid out, how much investment income the company earns and whether the small business deduction is protected.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with Richmond Hill clients by phone, video and email. If you’d rather meet in person, our Mississauga office at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204 is available by appointment.

| Local rule or situation | How it shows up on your T2 | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Professional corporations | Health professionals incorporate under the Business Corporations Act with a certificate from their regulatory college. Their T2 is a regular T2, but salary or dividend planning and family shareholders need care. | Ontario Business Corporations Act |
| Passive investment income | Once a corporation and its associated companies earn more than $50,000 of investment income in a year, the small business limit for the next year starts to shrink. We track it every year. | Income Tax Act s.125(5.1) |
| No municipal land transfer tax | A holding company buying a Richmond Hill property pays Ontario land transfer tax only, which goes into the property cost. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Ontario Business Corporations Act s.3.1, s.3.2 (professional corporations); Income Tax Act s.125(5.1)(b) (passive income grind); Income Tax Act s.120.4 (tax on split income); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax).
For a Richmond Hill professional corporation, the T2 is where investment income, dividends to family members and the small business limit meet. We check the passive income test every year, confirm that any dividends to a spouse or adult children fit the tax on split income rules, and plan the owner’s salary and dividends with the T1 in view.
Software and engineering firms in Beaver Creek often have SR&ED-eligible work, contractors abroad and customers in the US. On the T2 we report foreign exchange correctly, check whether related-party dealings with non-residents need a T106, and prepare the SR&ED claim end to end where it applies, quoted separately.
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Richmond Hill dentist’s professional corporation earns practice income and holds an investment account that grew to produce about $40,000 of income this year. On the T2 we claim the small business deduction, report the investment income and refundable tax, pay out dividends that recover that refundable tax, and warn the owner that another year of growth could start to reduce the small business limit.
Deadlines and the 11.2% rate: our corporate tax (T2) page.
Law: Income Tax Act s.150(1)(a) (T2 due six months after year-end); Income Tax Act s.157(1) (instalments and balance due); Income Tax Act s.125(1) (small business deduction); Income Tax Act s.162(1), (7.2) (late filing and e-filing penalties); Ontario corporate income tax rates.

Yes. We file for medical, dental and other professional corporations, including salary and dividend planning and the passive income test.
Possibly, but the tax on split income rules apply to most family dividends. We check whether an exception fits before any dividend is paid.
From $800 + HST/GST for a simple T2 for an active corporation, and from $249 for a nil T2 with no activity at all. Non-routine work is quoted before we start.
Six months after your year-end. Any balance owing is generally due two months after year-end, or three months for qualifying Canadian-controlled private corporations.
