I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

The client portal T-Ledgers uses makes the whole process much easier than dealing with emails and PDFs back and forth. Document sharing is simple, questions get answered quickly, and you can always see where things stand. It's a modern way of handling accounting and I appreciated that.Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Richmond Hill owners who fall behind are often busy professionals rather than struggling businesses. A physician or dentist focused on patients, an engineering consultant billing long hours, or a family running a restaurant on Highway 7 can go a year or two without anyone reconciling the books, and the gap usually surfaces when the accountant asks for year-end numbers or the CRA sends a letter.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with Richmond Hill clients by phone, video and email. If you’d rather meet in person, our Mississauga office at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204 is available by appointment.

| Local rule or situation | What it means for a catch-up | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Health care practices | For a practice that is behind, we rebuild exempt and taxable revenue separately so the overdue HST returns claim ITCs only on the taxable side. | CRA P-256: qualifying health care supplies |
| York Region Public Health | Food businesses opened or renovated during the missing years often paid for equipment personally. We find those costs and record them in the business. | York Region food premises operators |
| City of Richmond Hill business licences | Licence fees paid in the missing years are picked up from the statements and deducted in the right year. | Richmond Hill business licences |
Law: Excise Tax Act Sch. V, Part II (exempt health care services); Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Excise Tax Act s.225(4) (time limit for claiming ITCs).
The most common Richmond Hill catch-up is a professional corporation where personal and practice spending ran through the same card, and the shareholder loan account hasn’t been reconciled in years. We rebuild each year from statements, separate personal items, and settle the shareholder loan so the corporation’s T2 reflects what really happened.
Tech consultancies in Beaver Creek are the next group: invoices issued from one system, payments received in another, and HST charged but not always remitted. We match receipts to invoices, rebuild the HST by period and file the missing returns in order. If the business needs a reset afterwards, the City’s Small Business Enterprise Centre offers free consultations.
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Richmond Hill physiotherapy clinic is 18 months behind. Insurer deposits arrive in batches, patients pay by card and debit, and some months the owner paid the rent personally. We rebuild revenue from the clinic software and bank deposits, record the rent as a shareholder loan, split exempt treatment from taxable product sales and file the overdue HST returns. Both years’ T2s are included in the per-year price; the owner’s personal T1s are quoted separately.
Corporate catch-up is priced per year, and personal T1 returns are quoted separately. Full process: our catch-up bookkeeping page.
Law: Income Tax Act s.230(1) (records and books); Income Tax Act s.162(1) (failure to file penalty); Income Tax Act s.220(3.1) (waiver of penalty or interest); Excise Tax Act s.238(1) (GST/HST returns); Excise Tax Act s.88 (GST/HST waiver of penalty or interest).
