I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Milton’s corporations are often young: trucking companies along the 401, trades building in the new subdivisions, logistics and distribution businesses, and new clinics and food businesses. Their T2s raise questions an older company has already settled, such as how heavy equipment is depreciated, how the owner should be paid and whether the company really qualifies for the small business rate.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with Milton clients by phone, video and email. If you’d rather meet in person, our Mississauga office at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204 is a short drive down the 401, by appointment.

| Local rule or situation | How it shows up on your T2 | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Heavy trucks and tractors | Freight-hauling trucks and tractors over the weight limit go in their own capital cost allowance class with a higher rate than ordinary vehicles. We place each unit correctly. | CRA: classes of depreciable property |
| Fuel tax and IFTA | For carriers registered under IFTA, fuel tax paid and owed by jurisdiction is reconciled before the T2, so fuel expense and any balance owing are right. | Ontario: International Fuel Tax Agreement |
| Town of Milton business licences | Licence renewals, which expire each February, are deducted in the year paid. | Town of Milton business licences |
Law: Income Tax Act s.20(1)(a) (capital cost allowance); Income Tax Regulations Sch. II, Class 16 (freight trucks and tractors); Income Tax Act s.125(7) (personal services business); Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing).
An incorporated driver who hauls only for one carrier, under the carrier’s control, can be treated as a personal services business, which loses the small business rate. On the T2 we look at how the company actually works and flag the risk, so you can add customers or change arrangements before the CRA asks.
For trades and logistics companies, the T2 depends on getting year-end right: work in progress on unfinished jobs, holdbacks receivable, equipment additions and payroll accruals. We confirm each before filing, and plan the owner’s salary or dividends with the T1 in mind.
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Milton trucking corporation with three tractors and two company drivers buys a used tractor in the fall. On the T2 we add it to the right CCA class, reconcile fuel and IFTA balances, record the drivers’ payroll and the owner’s salary, confirm the small business deduction and set next year’s instalments.
Deadlines and the 11.2% rate: our corporate tax (T2) page.
Law: Income Tax Act s.150(1)(a) (T2 due six months after year-end); Income Tax Act s.157(1) (instalments and balance due); Income Tax Act s.125(1) (small business deduction); Income Tax Act s.162(1), (7.2) (late filing and e-filing penalties); Ontario corporate income tax rates.

Yes. We handle tractors and trailers in the right CCA classes, fuel and IFTA balances, driver payroll and the owner’s pay.
It can be. If the company would be a personal services business, it loses the small business rate. We review your arrangement and suggest changes.
From $800 + HST/GST for a simple T2 for an active corporation, and from $249 for a nil T2 with no activity at all. Non-routine work is quoted before we start.
Six months after your year-end. Any balance owing is generally due two months after year-end, or three months for qualifying Canadian-controlled private corporations.
