I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Etobicoke returns reflect a mix of long-time homeowners and newer condo owners. Families in Islington, the Kingsway and Long Branch often have a rental unit or investments, condo owners along the Humber Bay waterfront and at Islington-Six Points may rent their unit out, Humber College students file with tuition slips, and trades and drivers file self-employed returns.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. Our Etobicoke office is at 102-89 Skyway Ave. Most clients work with us online, and you can meet us there by appointment, or at our Mississauga office.

| Local situation | How we handle it | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Waterfront and Six Points condo rentals | Rent goes on a T776 with condo fees, property tax, interest and insurance. Non-resident owners can file a Section 216 return to be taxed on net rent. | CRA: non-resident rental income |
| Vacant Home Tax declaration | Every Toronto owner declares each property’s status each year. Rental income on your return and the declaration should agree. | City of Toronto Vacant Home Tax |
| Humber College students | Tuition from the T2202 is claimed, carried forward or transferred to a parent, up to the limit. | CRA: tuition amounts |
| Buying a first home | The home buyers’ amount and Toronto’s MLTT first-time buyer rebate both apply in the year you buy. We record the purchase costs for later. | CRA: home buyers’ amount |
Law: Income Tax Act s.9 (income from property); Income Tax Act s.216(1) (non-resident rental election); Income Tax Act s.118.05 (home buyers’ amount); City of Toronto Act, 2006 s.267(1) (City taxes, including MLTT and Vacant Home Tax).
Because our office is on Skyway Ave, many Etobicoke clients prefer to drop off slips once a year and review the return in person. Others upload everything online. Either way, a CPA reviews each return before it is filed.
Self-employed trades and drivers get a T2125 with vehicle, tools and phone costs, with HST reconciled where they’re registered. Families with investments get capital gains, dividends and foreign slips reported, and losses from earlier years carried forward.
Etobicoke has a lot of retirees along the lakeshore and in Islington Village. By the end of the year you turn 71, an RRSP has to be converted, usually to a RRIF, and minimum withdrawals start the following year. We plan pension income splitting with a spouse and check whether OAS will be clawed back before the return is filed.
Deadlines, penalties and relief: our personal tax page.
Law: Income Tax Act s.150(1)(d) (filing deadline); Income Tax Act s.156.1(4) (balance due); Income Tax Act s.162(1) (late-filing penalty).
