Incorporate your Brampton business in Ontario or federally, with a CPA reviewing the share structure for tax before anything is filed. Packages from $499.
In Brampton, the decision to incorporate usually comes when a business outgrows its owner’s personal tax bracket: an owner-operator buying a second truck, a renovator taking on staff, a family shop opening a second location. Incorporating can leave more profit in the business at the small business rate, but it also means payroll or dividends, a T2 every year and a minute book. We make sure the structure fits before you commit.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We incorporate Brampton businesses by phone, video and email, and our nearest office is in Mississauga at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204.
Brampton businesses we incorporate most often: owner-operators and small trucking fleets, renovation and roofing contractors, family-run food and retail businesses, and home-based services growing beyond a sole proprietorship.
Share structure and the full process are on our main incorporation services page.

| Local rule | What changes when you incorporate | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Registered office | Must be a street address in Ontario where records are kept; for an owner-operator that’s usually the home address, which becomes public on the corporate registry. | Ontario Business Corporations Act |
| City of Brampton stationary business licences | More than 30 types of fixed-location business need a City licence, including Building Renovator contractors and fixed food premises. We check whether it must be reissued to the company. | Brampton stationary business licensing |
| Peel Public Health | A food business that changes operator, including becoming a corporation, should confirm its obligations with Peel Public Health before trading under the new company. | Peel Public Health inspections |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Brampton owner-operator has driven as a sole proprietor for three years and is buying a second truck with a hired driver. We incorporate an Ontario company, open the corporate tax, payroll and GST/HST accounts so the driver can be paid properly, and plan the transfer of the existing truck into the company with a section 85 election (quoted separately) so it moves in without triggering tax. The carrier contracts and insurance are then updated to the corporation’s name.
Getting set up in Brampton. Trucking owner-operators often incorporate when they move from driving for a fleet to running their own trucks. We check how existing truck loans, insurance and operating authority move into the new company. The Brampton Entrepreneur Centre offers free consultations on permits and start-up steps.

Yes. Contracts, insurance and permits held in your personal name should be moved to the corporation, so income and costs belong to it from the start. We give you a checklist.
Often, once profit is well above what you need to live on or you are adding trucks and drivers. We compare the numbers on a free call before you decide.
