I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

Document sharing is simple, questions get answered quickly, and you can always see where things stand. It's a modern way of handling accounting and I appreciated that.Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. A lot of Brampton corporations are built around equipment: a tractor-trailer, a dump truck, a van full of tools, a commercial kitchen. For those companies the biggest numbers on the T2 aren’t sales. They’re the capital cost allowance on that equipment, the interest on the loans that paid for it, and the salary or dividends the owner took out. Get those right and the return is straightforward. Get them wrong and the corporation pays tax it didn’t need to, or the owner gets a shareholder loan problem.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We file for Brampton corporations by phone, video and email, and our nearest office is in Mississauga at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204.
Brampton corporations we file for most often: incorporated owner-operators and small fleets, renovation and roofing contractors, restaurants and food businesses, and family-run retail.

| Local rule | How it shows up on your T2 | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| City of Brampton stationary business licences | More than 30 types of fixed-location business need a City licence, including Building Renovator contractors and fixed food premises. Fees are deducted in the year paid. | Brampton stationary business licensing |
| Peel Public Health | Inspection-driven renovations go on Schedule 8 as capital. | Peel Public Health inspections |
| Ontario land transfer tax | Added to the cost of Brampton property, driving CCA and the later gain. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Brampton owner-operator’s corporation bought a second truck during the year. On the T2 we add it to the right capital cost allowance class, decide with the owner how much to claim this year, deduct only the interest part of the loan payments, and reconcile the shareholder loan for fuel and meals paid personally. The small business deduction brings the combined rate to 11.2% on qualifying income (9% federal plus 2.2% Ontario from July 1, 2026, prorated for years that straddle that date).
What’s different for Brampton corporations. Incorporated trucking companies make up a large part of our Brampton work. Their T2 questions are about trucks: capital cost allowance class and the half-year rule, whether a truck is leased or financed, and how interest is deducted. We also check that the drivers they pay are properly contractors, not employees. Brampton businesses expanding abroad can get free help from the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre and Global Business Centre.
Family-owned Brampton corporations often pay relatives. Salary to a family member must be reasonable for the work done, and dividends to adult family members can fall under the tax on split income rules. We review who was paid what before filing, and we reconcile the shareholder loan so a balance doesn’t become taxable to the owner.
Scope, deadlines and the 11.2% small business rate are on our main corporate tax (T2) page.
Law: Income Tax Act s.150(1) (filing returns); Income Tax Act s.157(1) (payment by corporation); Income Tax Act s.125(1) (small business deduction); Income Tax Act s.162(1) and (7.2) (late filing and e-filing penalties); Ontario corporate income tax rates.

Not always. Claiming less can make sense if income is low this year. We decide with you before filing.
Yes. We rebuild the books and file the most exposed years first. See catch-up bookkeeping in Brampton.
Trucks are depreciated through capital cost allowance, usually in class 10 or 16 depending on the vehicle. We check the class and the first-year rules for each one.
