I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Brampton runs on small business, and a lot of it is on the road. Owner-operators and small fleets, renovators and roofers, home-based services and family-run shops work long hours, and the paperwork is the first thing to slide. By the time someone calls us, there are often two or three years of fuel receipts in a box, a truck or two that were never set up as assets, and GST/HST returns filed as nil because the real numbers weren’t ready.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We catch up Brampton files by phone, video and email, and our nearest office is in Mississauga at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204, about 20 minutes down Hurontario.
Brampton backlogs we see often: incorporated owner-operators and small trucking fleets, Building Renovator and roofing contractors, food businesses and restaurants, and landlords with a basement unit or two who never separated rental income from the household account.

| Local rule | What it means for a catch-up | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| City of Brampton stationary business licences | The City licenses more than 30 types of fixed-location business, including Building Renovator contractors (which covers roofers) and fixed food premises. Licence fees from the missing years are deductible, so we find them in the statements and record them. | Brampton stationary business licensing |
| Peel Public Health inspections | Brampton food and personal service premises are inspected by Peel; missed fees get added back. | Peel Public Health inspections |
| No municipal land transfer tax | Ontario land transfer tax only; we post it to the property’s cost, not expenses. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Brampton owner-operator incorporated, bought a tractor on finance, and filed nil GST/HST returns for two years. We rebuild revenue from the carrier settlement statements, split each truck payment into principal and interest, set the truck up as a capital asset so capital cost allowance can be claimed, and recover the GST/HST paid on fuel, repairs and the truck itself as input tax credits where the time limit still allows. The corrected GST/HST returns are filed with the catch-up, and the T2 for each year is included in the per-year price and filed from the finished books.
Where Brampton files usually fall behind. Trucking is the big one. An owner-operator or small fleet with fuel cards, IFTA reports, truck loans and dispatch-company settlement statements can fall a year behind quickly, and the settlement statements are the key: they show gross revenue before the dispatcher’s deductions for fuel advances, insurance and fees. We gross those up so revenue and expenses are both complete, set each truck up as a capital asset with its loan, and split interest from principal. The Brampton Entrepreneur Centre on George Street South offers free start-up and permit guidance if you’re restructuring; the books themselves we rebuild for you.
Brampton’s other common backlog is the family business: a convenience store, restaurant or contracting company where relatives work in the business and personal and business spending share one account. We separate the two line by line, record family wages properly (they need T4s if they’re employees), and clear the shareholder loan within one year after the company’s year-end so it isn’t added to the owner’s income. Where several years of GST/HST are unfiled, we file the oldest first.
Each step is explained on our main catch-up bookkeeping page; corporate catch-up is priced per year with the T2 included, and personal T1 returns are quoted separately. The CRA has no walk-in counters (see CRA office locations), so we deal with it for you as your representative.
Law: Income Tax Act s.230(1) and (4) (records and books, six-year retention); Income Tax Act s.150(1) (filing returns); Income Tax Act s.162(1) (failure to file penalty); Income Tax Act s.220(3.1) (waiver of penalty or interest); Excise Tax Act s.238(1) (GST/HST returns); Excise Tax Act s.225(4) (time limit for input tax credits).

Yes. We rebuild revenue from settlement statements, record fuel, repairs and per-diems, set trucks and trailers up as capital assets, and file the overdue GST/HST returns. T2s for incorporated owner-operators are included in the per-year catch-up price; T1s with the T2125 for sole proprietors are quoted separately.
Corporate catch-up is priced per year, from $1,800 per year + HST/GST, including the bookkeeping, the GST/HST returns and the T2 filing for each year. Personal T1 returns are quoted separately, and you get a fixed quote after a free review.
Usually, yes. Once the books are rebuilt we work out the real figures for each period and correct the returns. Where tax is owing, we discuss whether a Voluntary Disclosures Program application fits before anything is filed.
Not in Brampton itself. Our nearest office is in Mississauga at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204, by appointment. Most Brampton clients work with us by phone, video and email.
It means revenue and expenses are both understated. We rebuild gross revenue and each deduction from the settlement statements so the GST/HST return and the T2 are based on the real figures.
Whether you’re three months behind or three years, the first step is the same: a free 30-minute call. We’ll look at where things stand, tell you honestly what it will take, and send a fixed price, mostly within one business day. If you have a comparable written quote, show it to us before you sign and we’ll match it.
