I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

Document sharing is simple, questions get answered quickly, and you can always see where things stand. It's a modern way of handling accounting and I appreciated that.Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Windsor books are often cross-border books. A mould maker quotes in US dollars for a Michigan supplier, a machine shop buys steel on both sides of the river, a logistics firm runs trucks through the Ambassador Bridge every day, and a greenhouse grower in Essex County ships produce south. That means US-dollar accounts, zero-rated exports, GST paid at the border and inventory or work in progress that must be valued the same way every month.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with Windsor clients by phone, video and email, with documents shared through a secure portal. Our office is in Mississauga if you’re ever in the GTA, and meetings there are by appointment.

| Local rule or situation | How we handle it in your books | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| City of Windsor business licences | By-law 395-2004 covers food vendors and stores, hospitality and liquor, service stations, plumbing and heating contractors and a few others. Renewals are posted when paid. | City of Windsor business licences |
| Windsor-Essex County Health Unit | Food businesses notify the Health Unit and book a pre-opening inspection. Fit-out and equipment are recorded as assets from the start. | WECHU guidelines for opening a food premises |
| Exports to the US | Goods exported from Canada are generally zero-rated, so no HST is charged but ITCs on inputs are still claimed. We keep the proof of export with each sale. | CRA: input tax credits |
| Imports and US-dollar accounts | GST paid at the border is claimed as an ITC from customs broker statements, and US-dollar balances are revalued each month. | CBSA: importing |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises); Excise Tax Act Sch. VI, Part V (zero-rated exports); Excise Tax Act s.169(1) (input tax credits).
For Windsor manufacturers and tool shops, the monthly close usually involves US-dollar receivables from Michigan customers, steel and tooling purchases on both sides of the border, and work in progress on long jobs. We reconcile each currency, revalue balances and keep work in progress consistent, so margins are real before year-end.
Logistics and cross-border carriers get revenue and costs tracked per truck and fuel by jurisdiction for IFTA. Restaurants in Walkerville and on Via Italia get POS and delivery-app sales matched to deposits, and Essex County growers get seasonal payroll and equipment financing recorded properly.
For importers, the GST paid to CBSA at the border is claimed back as an input tax credit. We match it to the CBSA accounting statements each month, not to the broker’s invoice alone, so the claim is supported if CRA asks. Duty is a separate cost and goes into the inventory value.
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Windsor mould maker on our Scale plan quotes jobs in US dollars for Michigan automotive suppliers and buys steel in Canada and the US. Each month we reconcile the Canadian and US accounts, record export sales as zero-rated with the shipping documents, post materials and labour to work in progress by job, revalue US-dollar balances and send job margins by the 10th.
