I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. London returns often involve students, health workers and landlords. Western and Fanshawe students file with tuition slips and sometimes rent rooms to each other, nurses and other staff at London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s combine T4 income with union dues and pension contributions, and many families own a licensed student rental near campus.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with London clients by phone, video and email, with documents shared through a secure portal. Our office is in Mississauga if you’re ever in the GTA, and meetings there are by appointment.

| Local situation | How we handle it | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Western and Fanshawe students | Tuition from the T2202 is claimed, carried forward or transferred to a parent, up to the limit. Students who moved here to study may claim moving expenses against scholarship or work income. | CRA: tuition amounts |
| Licensed student rentals | Rent goes on a T776 with the City licence fee, property tax, utilities and repairs. Improvements are tracked separately from repairs. | City of London licences |
| Hospital and health-care staff | Pension contributions, union dues and professional fees on your T4 or receipts are deducted, and shift workers’ other employment expenses are checked. | CRA: RPP deduction |
| Ontario Trillium Benefit | Students and families paying rent or property tax can claim the Ontario energy and property tax credit on the ON-BEN form. | CRA: Ontario benefits |
Law: Income Tax Act s.118.61 (unused tuition carryforward); Income Tax Act s.118.9 (tuition transfer); Income Tax Act s.118.81 (tuition transfer amount); Income Tax Act s.62(1) (moving expenses); Income Tax Act s.9 (income from property); Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing).
Parents who own a London house that their student child lives in, and rent the other rooms, need the rent reported and costs split between personal and rental use. We keep the calculation on file and coordinate the child’s tuition transfer with the parents’ returns.
Health-care workers get each slip checked against last year, and self-employed clinicians get a T2125 with practice expenses and CPP on self-employment calculated correctly.
Students at Western and Fanshawe often leave the federal tuition amount unused. Up to $5,000 of the current year’s federal tuition amount, minus what the student needs to bring their own tax to zero, can be transferred to a parent or grandparent. Whatever is left is carried forward, and only the student can use it later. We check which option is worth more before the return is filed.
