I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Toronto employers range from downtown professional firms and tech start-ups to restaurants on Queen and Danforth and film and event crews paid by the project. Each brings its own payroll questions: bonuses and stock options, tip pools, short contracts and staff who split time between the office and home.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work online, with offices in Etobicoke and Mississauga by appointment.

| Local situation | How we handle it | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant tips on Queen, King and the Danforth | Tips you control and pay through payroll are taxable and pensionable; tips customers hand straight to staff are not on the T4. We set up each type correctly. | CRA: tips received by employees |
| Project crews and freelancers | Short-contract workers in film, events and agencies are checked against the CRA employee tests before you decide between payroll and invoices. | CRA guide RC4110 |
| City business licences | Some Toronto businesses, such as restaurants and personal services, need a City licence. The fee is booked in the month it is paid. | Toronto licence and permit types |
| Ontario minimum wage | Rates are updated each October 1. Pay rates are checked against the current minimum on every run. | Ontario: minimum wage |
Law: Employment Standards Act, 2000 Part V.1 (tips and other gratuities); City of Toronto Act, 2006 s.86(1) (business licensing).
Toronto payroll files tend to be busy rather than big: a restaurant with a rotating part-time team, an agency that adds contractors for each project, or a start-up that pays a few salaried staff and some bonuses. The work is getting each person classified correctly, paid on time and reported properly at year-end.
We run pay in QuickBooks Online Payroll or Wagepoint, remit to the CRA on your schedule and keep T4s and ROEs current. Where you have staff working from home elsewhere in Ontario, or in another province, we check which province’s deductions apply. For hospitality clients, we keep tip pools and service charges separate from wages so the T4s are right.
Every Toronto employer follows the same CRA rules on source deductions, remittance deadlines, T4s and ROEs, and the same Ontario rules on paydays, overtime, vacation pay, WSIB and Employer Health Tax. This year’s rates, deadlines and the Acts behind them are on our payroll services page.
Law: Income Tax Act s.153(1); Employment Standards Act, 2000.
Payroll is quoted after consultation, as a fixed monthly fee based on your headcount, pay frequency and whether you need WSIB and EHT filing. The price only changes if your headcount, pay schedule or scope does. See what every engagement includes and plans and pricing.
