I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

Document sharing is simple, questions get answered quickly, and you can always see where things stand. It's a modern way of handling accounting and I appreciated that.Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Many Oakville clients are owner-managers and incorporated professionals with more than one entity: an operating company, a holding company, maybe a rental property. When those files fall behind, the problem is rarely the transactions themselves. It’s the money moving between the companies and the owner: dividends never declared, intercompany loans never recorded, and a shareholder loan balance nobody can explain. Those are the entries that cost real tax if they’re wrong.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. We work with Oakville clients by phone, video and email, and our nearest office is in Mississauga at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204, a short drive along the QEW.
Oakville backlogs we see often: incorporated consultants and professionals, holding companies with investment or rental income, home-improvement and trades businesses, and clinics and personal service businesses that need Town licences and Halton health inspections.

| Local rule | What it means for a catch-up | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Town of Oakville business licences | The Town says most businesses need a Town licence. A new Business Licensing By-law takes effect on January 4, 2027, and some contractor types (including HVAC, plumbing and drain-laying) will no longer need one. Fees from the missing years are deductible, and we record them in the rebuild. | Town of Oakville business licence |
| Halton Region Public Health | Food premises are inspected at least once a year, and food businesses must notify Halton Region Public Health before opening, reopening or renovating. Renovation costs are often capital items, which we set up as assets rather than expenses. | Halton food safety for business |
| No municipal land transfer tax | Ontario land transfer tax only; we post it to the property’s cost, not expenses. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). An Oakville consultant runs an operating company and a holding company that owns a rental condo, and neither has closed a year since 2023. We rebuild both sets of books side by side so every transfer between them, and between them and the owner, is recorded on both sides. Dividends paid without paperwork are identified, the shareholder loan is reconciled so no balance is left as unintended personal income, and the overdue GST/HST is filed. Each company’s T2 is then filed from books that agree with each other, included in the per-year price. Personal T1 returns are quoted separately.
Where Oakville files usually fall behind. We see two kinds. Professional corporations (physicians, dentists, consultants) whose clinic or agency deposits arrive net of fees, and holding companies that received dividends and made investments but never recorded them. For the first we rebuild gross billings from the payer statements; for the second we post each dividend, investment purchase and sale from the brokerage statements so the refundable tax and capital dividend accounts are right when the overdue T2s are filed. Owners starting something new can also use the Halton Region Small Business Centre on Bronte Road, which serves Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.
Oakville’s family-owned retailers and contractors are the third group. Their books often fell behind during a succession or a move between software, so we start from bank statements, reconcile the old and new systems, and give the next generation clean opening balances.
Each step is explained on our main catch-up bookkeeping page; corporate catch-up is priced per year with the T2 included, and personal T1 returns are quoted separately. The CRA has no walk-in counters (see CRA office locations), so we deal with it for you as your representative.
Law: Income Tax Act s.230(1) and (4) (records and books, six-year retention); Income Tax Act s.150(1) (filing returns); Income Tax Act s.162(1) (failure to file penalty); Income Tax Act s.220(3.1) (waiver of penalty or interest); Excise Tax Act s.238(1) (GST/HST returns); Excise Tax Act s.225(4) (time limit for input tax credits).

Each corporation has its own books and returns, so each is scoped, but we rebuild them together so transfers agree on both sides. You get one fixed quote covering both.
Corporate catch-up is priced per year, from $1,800 per year + HST/GST for one business, including the bookkeeping, the GST/HST returns and the T2 filing for each year. Personal T1 returns are quoted separately, and you get a fixed quote after a free review.
Only in what gets recorded. Licence fees you paid in past years are deductible either way. The new by-law takes effect on January 4, 2027, so check the Town page for your category going forward.

Yes. We rebuild it from the brokerage and bank statements, posting dividends, interest and trades, and then file the overdue T2s. Investment-only companies are usually quicker than operating ones.
