I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Personal tax returns in Mississauga cover a lot of ground. Some households have a basement unit or a condo they rent out, some are newcomers filing their first Canadian return, and others are self-employed contractors or drivers. We also prepare returns for people who own a Mississauga rental but live outside Canada.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020. Our Mississauga office is at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204, near Hurontario and Highway 403. Most clients never need to visit, but you can meet us there by appointment.

| Local situation | How we handle it | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Second units and basement rentals | Rent from a second unit goes on your T1 with the matching share of property tax, insurance and utilities. The City has its own registration rules for second units. | Mississauga second units |
| Property tax and the Ontario Trillium Benefit | The property tax you pay to the City, or the rent you pay, can count toward the Ontario energy and property tax credit. We claim it on the ON-BEN form. | CRA: Ontario benefits |
| Non-resident condo owners | If you rent out a Mississauga condo from abroad, we file a Section 216 return so tax is based on net rent, not 25% of the gross. | CRA: non-resident rental income |
Law: Income Tax Act s.9 (income from a business or property); Income Tax Act s.216(1) (non-resident rental election).
Many Mississauga households file more than one kind of income on the same return: a salary, some rent from a basement unit, maybe a side business. We look at the whole picture so expenses are split correctly between personal use and the rental or business, and so credits such as the Ontario Trillium Benefit aren’t missed.
Newcomers filing a first Canadian return need their arrival date and world income handled correctly, and should file even with little income so benefit payments start. Owners who now live abroad but still rent out a Mississauga condo usually need a Section 216 return instead of a regular T1. We’ll tell you which return you need on the first call.
Returns are due April 30 (June 15 if self-employed). Deadlines and penalties are on our personal tax page.

Usually yes. Filing sets up benefits such as the GST/HST credit and the Ontario Trillium Benefit, and records your tuition and other carryforwards.
Rental income alone is usually a regular T1, from $110 + HST/GST. If you also have self-employment income, the rental is quoted after consultation.
