I highly recommend T-Ledgers. Their communication is exceptional. You won’t have to wait days for a response. Waji really takes his time to explain things in-depth with his clients. He provides the ins and outs behind every major decision. Our corporation was 2 years behind on filings and Waji and his firm got all the work done in a timely manner, as promised.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend **T Ledger's Accounting**. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time I’ve needed his help. Even when something is urgent or needs to be handled last minute, he gets it done right away and makes sure everything is taken care of properly. He’s the type of accountant you can genuinely depend on. No matter what situation you’re dealing with, he takes the time to understand it, explains what needs to be done, and handles everything with a high level of professionalism. Reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to help. It’s hard to find someone you can trust to handle important financial and accounting matters, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with T Ledger's Accounting. **Beyond highly recommended. If you’re looking for an accountant you can rely on, this is the place to go.**Posted on Google![]()

The client portal T-Ledgers uses makes the whole process much easier than dealing with emails and PDFs back and forth. Document sharing is simple, questions get answered quickly, and you can always see where things stand. It's a modern way of handling accounting and I appreciated that.Posted on Google![]()

I fully recommend Wajahat for one's tax filing needs. He will explain what he's doing and why, rather than just asking for documents and going silent, ensuring the customer is informed at every stage of the process. He is trustworthy and transparent when it comes to pricing and quality of the work for small business tax needs.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Mississauga has a little of everything: distributors and importers around Pearson and the 401, Heartland retailers, Meadowvale and Airport Corporate Centre tech firms, and a large number of home-based consultants in Erin Mills and Churchill Meadows. When a Mississauga file falls behind, it is usually because the business grew faster than the bookkeeping: more accounts, more processors, more GST/HST, and nobody reconciling any of it.
I’m Wajahat Ajmal, CPA, FCCA. T-Ledgers is a CPA-led accounting firm practising since 2020, and Mississauga is one of our two offices. If you would rather hand over a box of statements in person than upload them, you can book a meeting at 100 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 204, near Hurontario Street and Highway 403.
Mississauga backlogs we see often: import and wholesale companies with foreign-currency purchases and customs entries, logistics firms near the airport, incorporated IT consultants on contract to large Mississauga employers, and retailers whose Square, Shopify or Clover reports were never matched to the bank.

| Local rule | What it means for a catch-up | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| City of Mississauga business licences | Only specific categories of business need a City licence; many do not. Where one applies, fees paid during the missing years are deductible, and we pick them up from the statements. | Mississauga licences and permits |
| Peel Public Health clearance | New food businesses need Peel Public Health clearance before the City licence is issued. Start-up costs from that stage, often paid personally, are recorded and claimed in the first catch-up year. | Peel Public Health inspections |
| No municipal land transfer tax | Ontario land transfer tax only; we post it to the property’s cost, not expenses. | Ontario land transfer tax |
Law: Municipal Act, 2001 s.151(1) (business licensing); Land Transfer Tax Act s.2(1) (Ontario land transfer tax); Health Protection and Promotion Act s.16(1) (food premises).
An illustrative example (not a client story). A Mississauga wholesaler buys from overseas suppliers in US dollars and pays GST at the border through a customs broker. Two years later the books show bank transfers but no inventory, no foreign exchange and no import GST. We rebuild purchases from supplier invoices and customs statements, convert each at the right rate, claim the GST paid on imports as input tax credits where they’re still within the time limit, take a year-end inventory figure with the owner, and file the overdue GST/HST returns before the T2s, included in the per-year price, are filed.
Where Mississauga files usually fall behind. The pattern we see most is an importer or logistics company near Pearson whose volume grew faster than its bookkeeping: hundreds of supplier invoices in US dollars, customs and duty statements from a broker, and a bank feed that was never matched to them. Rebuilding that file means converting each foreign-currency payment at the rate on the day, separating duty (part of inventory cost) from the GST/HST paid at the border (an input tax credit), and lining up broker statements with the CBSA amounts. If you’re starting over after a messy year, the city’s free advisors at IDEA Mississauga (Mississauga Business Entrepreneur Centre) in Square One can help with the business plan side; we handle the numbers.
Retail and restaurant owners around Square One and Heartland bring a different backlog: point-of-sale reports, delivery-app payouts (Uber Eats, DoorDash) that arrive net of commissions, and cash deposits. We rebuild daily sales from the POS, gross up the delivery payouts, and reconcile cash to deposits before the GST/HST returns are filed.
Each step is explained on our main catch-up bookkeeping page; corporate catch-up is priced per year with the T2 included, and personal T1 returns are quoted separately. The CRA has no walk-in counters (see CRA office locations), so we deal with it for you as your representative.
Law: Income Tax Act s.230(1) and (4) (records and books, six-year retention); Income Tax Act s.150(1) (filing returns); Income Tax Act s.162(1) (failure to file penalty); Income Tax Act s.220(3.1) (waiver of penalty or interest); Excise Tax Act s.238(1) (GST/HST returns); Excise Tax Act s.225(4) (time limit for input tax credits).

Yes. We rebuild import costs from customs broker statements and supplier invoices and claim the GST paid at the border as input tax credits where the time limit still allows.
The CRA says its offices have no walk-in counter service. Backlogs are resolved by phone, mail and online, and as your authorized representative we handle that contact for you.
Usually, yes. GST paid to the CBSA on commercial imports (and the provincial part of HST, which registrants usually self-assess on their GST/HST return) is generally claimable as an input tax credit by the importer, with the customs documents, within the time limit. We match the broker statements during the catch-up.
Whether you’re three months behind or three years, the first step is the same: a free 30-minute call. We’ll look at where things stand, tell you honestly what it will take, and send a fixed price, mostly within one business day. If you have a comparable written quote, show it to us before you sign and we’ll match it.
